The Faringdon Community Bus - Its free if you're over 60 with a valid bus pass.

The Faringdon Community Bus:
Is a local service serving the needs of individuals and groups in and around Faringdon. It was launched in November 2001 with funding from The Countryside Agency, SEEDA, the Vale of White Horse District Council, the Rural Transport Partnership, the Oxfordshire County Council and Faringdon Town Council. The bus is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
Operates a scheduled service within Faringdon and Great Coxwell on each morning, Monday to Friday, and to/from Lechlade on one morning per week. Timetables are frequently published in local publications and can also be seen at the Faringdon Tourist Information Centre (where free copies are available), the Library, the Post Office and the Town Hall.
Runs a programme of trips to local towns and places of interest and to events within easy travelling distance of Faringdon. Details are available from the Faringdon Tourist Information Centre (01367 242191), where seats may be booked.
Is available for private hire at very attractive rates.
Is driven and run by volunteers. We believe this community service is valuable and worthwhile. Please contact us if you would like to join our team.
Participates in the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) organised by the Community Transport Association UK. One of its drivers is a Driver Assessor/Trainer who is available to assess the competence of minibus drivers in Oxfordshire and beyond.
